The Haverhill Studio is a walk up, open concept, interiors focused photo studio + creative rental space located in the heart of Downtown Haverhill, MA in the historic Gardner Block building. Housed in a modern industrial setting with its historic mill beamed ceilings and brick walls— The Haverhill Studio offers 1,100 square feet of carefully selected interiors inspired by interior design + personal style. The space offers a thoughtfully curated canvas for aesthetic photography and videography projects.

The Haverhill Studio offers beautiful modern furniture with unique design touches, 12-foot ceilings, and soft diffused southern light all day long. Everything in the studio from the client closet space, makeup station, furniture, and even the bluetooth speaker has been carefully selected to be aesthetic + picture ready.

The studio is available for rent Monday- Sunday between the hours of 8am-8pm.

The Rental Process

Begin by contacting us through our website to check availability for your desired date and time.

Reservation

Once you've confirmed your booking, we'll guide you through the reservation process with a confirmation email. You may need to sign a rental agreement as well.

Arrival and Setup

On the day of your rental, arrive at The Haverhill Studio where you can conveniently load in from street-level. Set up your equipment and props in our dedicated space, ready to start your session promptly.

Enjoy Your Session

Utilize our studio's main floor along with amenities, including our client suite consisting of private dressing room, closet, and media room. Our completely private environment ensures a focused and comfortable experience for you and your clients. After your session concludes, tidy up your belongings and check out of the studio.

Getting to the studio

  • I-495 is only 2 miles away at Exit 49 or 50.

  • The space is directly across from the train station offering MBTA service into Boston and the Downeaster with stops from Boston to Portland Maine Making The Haverhill Studio easily accessible for all near and far creatives.

  • There is Limited free parking is available as well as the new Parking Garage across the street with very inexpensive parking at $4 per day.

    More parking is available right outside the front of the building on Railroad Square (free 2-hour street parking). Additional 2-hour meter parking is available on Granite Street and Wingate Street as shown on the map.

Whether you're capturing headshots, fashion spreads, or lifestyle shoots, our thoughtfully curated studio provides an ideal setting for your next creative endeavor.

With soft diffused south eastern light from Morning to Dusk our space offers filtered light and direct light throughout the day which can be controlled and adjusted.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Our building entrance is a walkup from the street level at The Gardner Block Building. When you arrive, please enter the code given in your confirmation email on the keypad located to the right of the front door. There are cameras located throughout the space. If you run into any issues, please contact the studio.

  • The entrance is a street-level walk access making it easy for load in and out. Please note that your booking starts at the agreed-upon start time and ends at the agreed-upon end time. Any use of the space before or after your agreed-upon booking time will result in an additional booking charge. Overtime charges are billed 10 minutes into each half-hour. Please factor load in, load out, and cleaning time into your original booking slot to avoid additional charges. When exiting the space, pull the front door shut and hold it while pressing the LOCK icon on the keypad to ensure the door is locked and the space remains secure. There will be a $100 fine for leaving the door unlocked upon vacating the space. The lock set is digitally recorded to know if the door was left unlock upon vacating the space.

  • We do not offer refunds for any cancellations. However, we understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise. If you or your client need to cancel, we will accommodate reschedules. You will be able to reschedule within 12 months of your original date. Please contact the studio via email at info@thehaverhillstudio.com if you have any questions during your rescheduling process.

  • Setting up and breaking down what is needed for your shoot must be accounted for in the amount of time you reserve. Please book more than your “shoot time” to make sure you are in and out on-time. You are responsible for following the rental contract rules and authorize the studio to charge your card $50 if the door is left unlocked when you depart, if you exceed your rental time, go over the occupancy limit or leave the studio in poor condition. If you leave later then anticipated your code will not work but you can still lock the studio by pressing the red dot on the keypad. For clean-up, please make sure the studio looks like it did when you arrived and take out what you bring in (like camping!) — including any hangers, boxes, props, coffee, florals, trash etc…

    All tables and chairs are on wheels and can be moved aside if you need more room. No furniture is allowed to leave the studio. If any items go missing or damages are incurred during your rental time you will be billed separately to have it fixed and/or replaced. Please treat the space like you own it.

    The walls of the studio are nearly 150 years old. Please be mindful not to lean on, scratch or damage the texture we love so much. Lastly, there is absolutely NO SMOKING ALLOWED under any circumstances. If we do see/smell/find that you have smoked in the studio, you will be issued a $500 fine.

  • Our booking site will let you secure your rental time up to 24 hours in advance. For last minute rentals, feel free to reach out via email at info@thehaverhillstudio.com or Instagram DM @thehaverhillstudio.

  • The bathroom located in the space! No need for additional keys or access to additional parts of the building.

  • Operated wireless and preset for your comfort. Discourage renters from changing the controls.

  • Please keep in mind the studio is not childproof — children and pets must be supervised at all times. Pets are not allowed on the white couches or beds. If any damages are incurred during your rental time you will be billed separately to have it fixed or replaced.

  • Yes! There is a portable sound bar located in the backroom under the TV you can use during your session. MAKE SURE YOUR PUT THE SPEAKER BACK AND PLUG IT IN THE CHARGER.

  • There is a client Suite that consists of 400 square feet behind the main studio floor located in the space that can be used to hang coats, place bags, etc. that is out of the way of the main shooting space as well as to complete hair and makeup. There is a TV, mini fridge stocked with water, and a small room for people to lounge. This is included in your rental.

  • Photographers are welcome to bring their own props to fulfill their creative visions. To maintain the integrity of our space, we kindly ask that no nails or attachments be used on the walls. Any additional equipment such as glitter, bubble machines, or similar items may require an add-on cleaning fee.

    No furniture is allowed to leave the studio. You may move things around, but for the (2) gold mirrors.

    • The bed setup can be broken down completely.

    • The desk and chairs can be brought to the main studio from the client suite to be staged for branding.

    • The couch is on wheels.

    • All other furniture is on movers to slide around.

    If any items go missing or damages are incurred during your rental time you will be billed separately to have it fixed and/or replaced. Please treat the space like you own it. Thank you!

  • There are security cameras mounted in the studio for safety and accountability purposes. Please let us know if you have any questions or concerns. No one else has access to this footage. Disinfectant wipes and hand sanitizer are also available in the studio for you to use.
